My Queen Shanni

All that talk about my fur babies reminded me of something. I was keeping a journal on an rsd board earlier this year. I wrote a lot about Shanni girl and the things she got up to. So I had a thought. Why not post the things I wrote here! I'm sure you'll get a good laugh. Every night I'll post another one in a separate post from what I write for the night. :-D

My dear, sweet fur baby was actually good today!!! She did have me about rolling on the ground though and gave me a heart attack at the same time. We had been outside for about 5 minutes when she spied a big, bright green lizard on the gate. I've never seen her move so fast!! She had caught it and was coming straight at me. She tried to go under my chair with it but I nabbed her and made her drop it. There is no way I'm going to sit there while she's eats a lizard under my chair!!! ICKY!!

So, the big one runs away really fast and scampers up the wall by the door. Now, the height from the ground to the top of the wall is about 6 feet. She runs to the bottom of the wall when I let her go, crouches low and springs up. Her front paws were about 1 inch away from touching the crack where the wall meets the roof there. :-O Holy cow! We knew she could jump high but that was a record! So, she did knock the lizard down and the chase was on! I ended up grabbing her before she could do the poor thing any damage, again. Then turned around and here's another lizard sitting on the concrete. Today I saved both their lives! I hope they remember that and thank me properly! *Laughing* Hubby got to her in time and saved the life of a 3rd one late this afternoon. Wow.....my little huntress! I knew she had it in her but just didn't expect her to actually do it. I'll have to keep a close eye on her now.

Life is never dull around here now!Very Happy Not that I'm complaining mind you! That furry little child of mine makes me laugh and smile a lot. I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world! I still miss my Seamus boy so bad!! I looked at a pic of him today and for the first time didn't cry. At least the first raw pain of losing him seems to be easing off. Never a day will go by that I won't think about him and how much he loved me.
