Isn't my life just full of excitement?! LOL Sorry I went awol.....that the family part of the title. My genealogy aka shaking my family tree again swept me away as it usually does. I shook the tree and a few hundred more nuts fell on me. :-D It's a good thing though and I really love chasing down the names and history behind them, as a whole and even more so the individual person's history. I've got a "thing" about the Revolutionary War, Civil War and Vietnam. So every member far and wide in the tree who was in them captures me. I spend time gathering any records I can find as well as chasing down stories of battles they engaged in, the weather during a certain time period and anything else I can get my hands on, especially pictures. I'm fascinated by the pioneers I have in the tree. The ones who held positions and were pioneers of a particular town.
The babies are my own children and my grandchild to be. I pulled out my pendulum when she was here right before christmas and it signaled strongly for a boy. I've never seen it react that swiftly and arc that high!! I told her and the daddy to prepare themselves when her next ultrasound confirms it. Well.....the day has come. About 3 days ago she had that ultrasound and as all my kids did, he "let it all hang out" in there and it is a confirmed BOY!!!! I have a grandson on the way, the end of June, beginning of July. :D :D :D :D They really wanted a girl but she's so excited about having a boy now I think she's almost forgotten how she was hoping it was a girl. LOL We're all very excited!!! The bad part is the ultrasound was done in jail. :-( Yup, my baby girl was sentenced to 45 days. Why? Last summer she was with a friend of hers and he wanted to stop by this house to see some people he knew. Well, he let the mom and her boyfriend borrow his car to go pick up someone. While they were gone, the cops came in response to a call that complained about noise I guess. The result was my daughter and one or 2 other people over the age of 18 were taken to jail. She was charged,at first with, open house party and child neglect. The child neglect was in regards to the fact a....I think it was 10 yr old child, was in the house at the time. Well,it wasn't my girl's house,it wasn't her party nor was she there as a babysitter!!! She was just waiting for her friend's car to come back so she could go home. *big sigh* I don't understand how she was even convicted but she was. Oh, they dropped the child neglect thank the Goddess!! That's a felony and would have carried a much bigger sentence and probably prison time. I'm still quite pissed about the whole thing. She's only got about 2 weeks left to go and she's out.
The rsd part is pretty self explanatory. I hurt, the very cold temps we're having right now is making it worse. It's topped off by the fact that it's "that" time of the month as well. *really, really BIG sigh* On the upside, I didn't sweat last night so was able to wake up with slightly less pain that I have had for the past week. My skin is getting progressively worse in feel and getting thinner. I get an itch and lightly scratch it, not hard, almost no pressure behind it. I first,as always feel a burning pain. That is compliments of rsd. A minute or 2 later it dies down and stops. When I either go potty or take a bath later on I look down at my leg and there's a sore or a red gouge mark where I scratched!! It bites to deal with all this crap. I have spots of pain tonight,in one hip and one knee, one ankle. It's a hard throbbing, bone deep, stabbing pain that occasionally radiates to the area surrounding the area. I HATE IT SOOOOOO MUCH I COULD SCREAM!!!!! AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:-D Ok, so I did scream, well not out loud, just on here. I feel slightly better now. Screaming out loud would wake hubby and child and most likely scare them to death so yeah....only typed screaming allowed. LOL
Both fur babies are doing just fine. Haven't done a whole lot to write about though. Connor is now bigger than Shanni and still has 4 1/2 months of growing left to do. Unless he grows longer than a year the way a maine coon grows. We just have to wait and see because we just don't know. A maine coon, for those who don't know, don't finish growing until they're between 3 and 5 years old. He's 7 1/2 months old right now, Shanni is 2 1/2 yrs old. Since she turned 2 she hasn't gained anymore weight nor grown so I do believe she is done. Him,we don't know. Updates on growth to follow.
Guess that's about it for tonight. Thanks for tuning in to make sure I'm not dead yet. ROFL
