When We Moved

Today has been a very busy day! It has also seemed a very short day! Why is it when there is sooooo much stuff to do there's never enough hours? *shrugs* I guess that's the way it is and me, a mere mortal, cannot comprehend the ways of the Gods.

First really good news is that we pulled out the wireless router we bought about a year ago. The first time we couldn't get it to do what it should for some reason. I got fed up and just put it away. Well, since we moved in here, I figured I'd give it another go. Hooked it up to my laptop, rebooted the modem and wa-la, we have internet on both lap tops! Now, we also have internet on the desktop as well!!! Yeah, I'm feeling pretty darn happy with myself right about now. LOL I was starting to get a little bit ticky when the adapter wasn't coming on, but took a deep breath and went in search of a possible 2nd CD for the system. Well what do ya know, there's the 2nd CD for it with the big bold words,Wireless Adapter for the Belkin router! Surprise!! LOL Yeah, it's working and we're all very happy now. Serena gets the #2 laptop for her room, hubby has the desktop back and I have my laptop.

We finally were able to get our big stuff here today as well. We didn't have another guy to help James haul it out and into a U-Haul until today. All's well that ends well though I say. James and I went back to the old place this afternoon and grabbed the stuff in our closet and we're now sooooo completely outta that darn, stinky,negative vibing, energy sucking,sick building!!!!! ROFLMBO Is that enough descriptors? Nahhhh, I could probably think of a few more but I think I made my point.Just even going back there today gave the major heebie jeebies! Nothing in my life has ever felt better than when we closed the door behind us for the very last time! I'm in kick butt,happy place, nothing but positive energy and relaxation,healthy townhouse land! Oh, there we go, I did it again with the descriptors. *giggles*

Been hurting a bit more today than the last few but it still, overall, isn't too bad. I've been on the go for like a week now and I thought I'd be on my couch just moaning in pain and barely getting anything at all done. I'm very happy to be proven wrong though. I have just forged ahead. More of my go,go,go,do,do,do,let nothing stop me thing going.

Let's see...what else....Got the rest of my stuff hung on the walls today and did that cleaning frenzy thing and cleaned off all the furniture and electronics. I have 4 boxes to unpack in Serena's room and I'll be done with her. I have 7 boxes down here with stuff in it to get put away and I'll be done down here! That'll go quick though so no biggie really. Already got a very good jump on it.

Oh yeah, microwaves. I could've,and almost did, just lose it today over microwaves. We bought a GE microwave last Thursday. We used it for 4 days, that's it, 4. I went to warm up the last of my mashed taters and it wouldn't heat!!! So, ticked off that it quit working after this short a time, packed it up and returned it. The replacement was a Sharp. Took it out of the box and it didn't work at all! Pressing all over the number pad, nada! So, back we go to Wally World for yet another microwave! This time we got an Emerson. I plugged it in and the light inside comes on, the number pad works now tomorrow when I heat something up we'll see if it does what it should. I really,really hope it will work fine and keep on working for many years to come! If something goes wrong with it, well....I may just throw myself off the balcony outside my room! Not that it would kill me but I'm sure I'd break a leg or two but good!
