Cat Tails

The Taunting Squirrel spread word to all his family and friends evidently. Each day we have had a squirrel come round and stare, wag the tail and chatter at my sweet Shanni girl! Just this afternoon while sitting out there, I catch a movement out of the corner of my eye again. I look up and lo and behold what do I see? A squirrel on top of the fence with some little nut in his mouth. He sat there at the back edge of the building again wagging the tail and chattering, staring at me, then Shanni, then me, wagging and chattering! Shanni just sat there looking at it. She made no move to go after it, just sat there and stared like it was staring at her. Meanwhile, all I can do is sit in the chair and laugh hysterically! I almost told that squirrel he really shouldn't talk with his mouth full though!

Two days ago one of them squirrels came under the fence. At the time hubby was the only one out there. That one scampered away after having a quick look about and seeing no Shanni. This is all turning into quite the saga of the Taunting Squirrel. Maybe this should be a series, As The Squirrel Turns....ummm maybe not, that sounds suspiciously like a squirrel roast or something. Let's see, These Are The Days of The Squirrel. Squirrelly Days....It's not made it to Shanni versus Squirrel yet as it was only the one time she was ready to pounce on the thing. Lucky for them both that one chose to stay on the fence.
