Cat Tails Continued

I will start tonight off with another installment of Shanni and the Squirrels. Yep, squirrels plural. It's not the same one but each time, a different one comes calling. To either peer at "the cat" "that beast" or who knows how they possibly think of her! Today there was nothing to write about, but yesterday...yesterday was a rare treat to be sure!

As usual I'm relaxing in my oh so comfy canvas chair, feet propped up on the cooler and I see a flash of movement, again, out of the corner of my eye. Here is another, cute and cuddly, but infinitely more daring squirrel come to call. This one really did tease and taunt her! It ran along the fence top and even scampered down one of the trees! Then back up it ran to the fence top, just chattering his head off and zzzoooommmm, there goes shanni girl running full out and playing spider cat on the fence trying to catch that darned ole squirrelly squirrel! It was already across the yard and up a tree anyway, but sitting there howling with laughter, that squirrel...it was doing some laughing of its own! I kid you not, the chattering it was doing sounded just like it was laughing at my baby girl! I just laughed even harder even as I tried to console her broken heart at not catching it. *Laughing hysterically* She redeemed herself nicely a bit later by getting her a lizard. Thankfully not the whole lizard just its tail. Ewww! Today she just came up empty handed all the way round.

Now, to explain the spider cat reference. We all know about spider man and how he clings to the sides of buildings, etc, etc. Well, Shanni has become our very own spider cat! She clings to the fence or tree in pursuit of those villainous lizards that keep teasing her! She jumps up, sinks her claws into the wood and just hangs there! LOLOL It really is quite funny to see. Hmmm....mayhap I will keep the camera out there with me to see if I can be quick enough to catch spider cat in action! Then, telling hubby of the adventures of spider cat while he was at work, I mentioned spider pig. Any Simpson's fan will know what I'm talking about. For those of you that don't, there is an episode where Homer is holding a pig as it walks on the walls and the ceiling of the house singing "spider pig, spider pig, doing whatever a spider pig does" ROFL So, out of nowhere hubby says, Peter Porker. I said What? He said spider pig, Peter Porker. LMBO! Ok...so after just seconds of thought, and keeping in mind Shanni is a girl, her "real life" name is....drum roll please.....Petra Purr!! ROFLMAO
